Letters to Santa

This Saturday, November 29th, families are invited to Prescott Promenade during Holiday Lights in Downtown El Cajon to drop off their beautifully decorated letters to Santa — or even write one on-site at our special Letters to Santa Station by the Main Stage.

Preparing Your Letters at Home

Santa’s elves have created a special Downtown El Cajon letter template for families to use. When writing your letter, be sure to:

  • Write clearly and include your full name and address
  • Share your favorite stories from the year, tell a joke, or draw a festive picture
  • List your gifts in order of preference and be specific
  • Avoid asking for overly expensive gifts
  • Send family letters together in one envelope for a better chance of being posted together

Address Your Envelope Properly

Santa
123 Elf Road
North Pole, 88888

Include your full return address in the upper left corner and a First-Class stamp in the upper right.

Mailing from Home? Letters must be postmarked by Saturday, December 6 to receive a response from Santa.

Writing Your Letter at the Event

At the Letters to Santa Station, we provide everything you need:

  • Blank Downtown El Cajon Holiday Letter
  • Preprinted envelope addressed to Santa
  • A mailbox to drop-off your letter
