Come join us for an art-filled evening at the Opening Reception for The C's of Grief: Connection, Culture & Community and be part of a meaningful art exhibition, that features both Visual and Literary artists. Curated by Vee Nguyen, local artist, curator and founder of The Lil' Things and hosted at local art gallery & frame shop, Studio C, in downtown El Cajon. The exhibition will highlight the multifaceted aspects of Grief through these three essential themes with creations made by about 20 local artists and writers regarding their personal experiences.

This art show will be a dialogue on the different versions of Grief we face everyday, and how we view, process or honor it through connection with ourselves, our community, or through the lens of our cultural upbringing. Whether it revolves around relationships, a past self, the adversities of the world or other types of losses-- it's important to acknowledge how Grief can shape us.

In addition to the main exhibition, we will have different items created by other local artists that will be available via donations to organzations, foundations, or other fundraisers of their choice-- including handmade bookmarks, totes, zines, and other beautiful handmade crafts!

Time: 5PM - 8PM

Location: Studio C - 120 E. Main St. El Cajon, CA 92020
